There’s something special about organic sounds in music: textures, wind, air, subtle field recordings. I (Lavito) use them all the time because they add life, depth and emotion to a track. They make the music feel human, tactile and alive, even when the rest of the production is digital.
Incorporating these sounds isn’t just about decoration: it’s about creating an atmosphere and a connection with the listener. A soft breeze in the background, the rustle of leaves or distant city noise can transport someone into the world of the track. It gives the music a dimension that pure synths or samples alone can’t achieve.
For me, organic elements are a bridge between the real world and the studio. They allow me to translate feelings, memories and experiences into sound. Even subtle layers can make a difference: they invite the listener to feel something beyond the rhythm or melody.
Using textures, air and natural sounds reminds me why I fell in love with music in the first place: it’s not just sound, it’s an experience, a journey and a feeling.
