How Piano, Drums and Ableton Live Shape My Music

Hey everyone,

Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I learned piano and drums and I still carry those lessons with me every day. While most kids were playing PlayStation at home, I was sitting at the piano or behind the drum kit, practicing, exploring and learning how music really works. My mother pushed me to take these lessons after normal school: at the time I didn’t fully appreciate it, but looking back I’m so grateful she did.

Those early experiences shaped the way I approach music today. When I sit down in Ableton Live I’m not just programming sounds or arranging tracks: I’m thinking like a musician. I understand rhythm, melody and harmony because of those years spent learning instruments. It gives me a deeper sense of feeling in my music and allows me to create tracks that are not just sounds but expressions of emotion and energy.

Ableton Live has become my playground: it’s where I bring ideas to life, experiment with sounds and translate feelings into music. But the foundation comes from piano scales, drum patterns and the discipline of practice. Those lessons taught me patience, attention to detail and the joy of creating something from nothing.

Every track I make carries a piece of that experience: the curiosity, the rhythm and the melodies that I fell in love with long before I ever opened Ableton. It reminds me that the work you put in early on, even when it feels like a chore, can become the backbone of your creative life.

Thanks for reading and catch you in the next post.
