What’s up,
One of the most interesting experiences in my career came when Ian Urbina from the New York Times called me. He wanted me to hop on the Outlaw Ocean project, and at first I couldn’t believe it. The chance to work on something so ambitious and meaningful was both exciting and a little intimidating.
From the first session, I poured myself into the music. Every sound, every texture, every moment was crafted to support the story, the people and the incredible work Ian and his team were doing. It pushed me to think bigger, be more precise and trust my instincts.
The project went live, and it was an unforgettable experience to hear the final result come together. Along the way, we even ended up winning an Emmy, which was surreal, but the real value for me was the creative journey and collaboration. It showed me how music can amplify stories, create atmosphere and connect people to important work in ways nothing else can.
This experience reminded me to always be ready for unexpected opportunities, to embrace challenges and to create with intention.
